Bush Gains in Polls
While Waffles’ desparate commrades try to hammer away at the truth, the Gallup poll shows Bush continues to grow his lead among likely voters. Bush’s approval rating continues to improve (now at 54%) while Kerry’s is at the lowest point ever (52%). Bush, dominates the “honest and trustworthy” and”stands up for what he believes in” issues.
No challenger has ever won going into the incumbent’s convention behind.” In fact winning challengers Reagan and Clinton had double-digit leads prior to their opponents convention. With the expected Bush Republican convention bounce, Bush stands to gain a substantial edge.

For those really paying attention, national polls mean about as much as the vote total did in 2000. It’s the state polls that are key as they directly impact the electoral vote count and of those there are a critical 17 battleground states. No Republican has ever won the White House without taking Ohio. There is this years Florida. For every “No challenger has ever won going into….” there is another fun fact. NO incumbent President has ever been re elected when the Dow went down between the last party convention and Nov. 2. The DJI was at 10,380 at the end of the Rep. Nat’l. Convention. It is now below 9,900 with two weeks to go. 500 points in two weeks is a tall order, given the economy.
